Heads up, Liverpool! Get the red carpet ready, cause The Student Hotel and Melon District are coming to town. We’ll be hitting the 2016 EAIE Conference on September 14th and 15th to discuss innovative ways to attract international student talent. Seriously, you don’t want to miss our fascinating insights (and incredibly charming speakers).
On Wednesday the 14th at 11:30, we’ll be at The Class of 2020 booth (Booth 222) for a panel discussion on the topic “Co-Hosting Summer Schools & Study Abroad” with speakers from Amsterdam Summer School, The Student Hotel and Melon District. During this talk, we will take case studies from different schools and cities to illustrate successful collaborations between universities and student housing providers.
On Thursday, September 15th at 12.00, we’ll be in Hall 2G for a special session on “Nudging: A Method for Recruiting an International and Diverse Student Body.” Speakers from TwentyFirst, Camplus and The Student Hotel/Melon District will explore the difficulties in recruiting international students from lower socio-economic backgrounds. We’ll examine a new case study from Rotterdam and take a look at the effectiveness of certain marketing messages.
Our final talk, which will rightfully end with drinks, takes place on Thursday the 15th at 16:30, when our very own dazzling Director of Partnerships, Frank Uffen, will team up with Maarten Frens from Erasmus University College to discuss “University & Student Housing: New Models for the Student Experience.” In this 30-minute session, housing providers Camplus, TwentyFirst, The Student Hotel & Melon District share how they work with leading universities in Germany, Italy, Spain, France and The Netherlands.
Can’t make it the talks? Pop by our booth and let’s have a private, one-to-one session on any topic of your choice!
